I’m from a small town in Victoria, Australia. Growing up in a rural town, you learn to make your own fun, and it helps when the great outdoors is literally your backyard. Hiking soon moulded into my life, as with my appreciation for animals and the natural environment. I moved to Melbourne to study film and television at university, and subsequently became a video editor in the industry. It was probably one of these days sitting at my desk that I came up with a question. With a passion for video, and a passion for hiking, why don’t I combine the two? That’s the day Set To Hike was created.

There are so many amazing places to explore in the world, and I want to share them the best way I know how, through video. My videos exist to not only share hiking destinations, but share tips, gear reviews, recipes, anything that falls into the world of hiking. I want to help people feel empowered and prepared to do a multi-day hike unassisted, because hiking is much bigger than the hike itself. It’s one of the only things where you are right in tune with your mental and physical awareness. You get to live in the moment.
